You may click the link to switch the active language.<\/p><p><\/p>\n<h2>Brazilian firms target labour and disputes growth<\/h2>\n<p>Brazilian firm Mattos Engelberg Advogados has promoted a labour practitioner to partner, while Perlman Vidigal Godoy Advogados has hired a litigation and arbitration partner.<\/p>\n<p>Mattos Engelberg promoted Mar\u00edlia Nascimento Minicucci, 34, on 17 October. She joined the firm when it opened in January. Her practice is focused on compensation plans, profit share programmes, collective bargaining and labour due diligence for compliance processes and M&amp;A transactions. She has previously worked at Demarest Advogados, Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados and Pinheiro Neto Advogados.<\/p>\n<p>Minicucci is Mattos Engelberg\u2019s latest partner appointment since it\u00a0opened\u00a0earlier this year. A spin-off from now-defunct firm Mattos Muriel Kestener, Mattos Engelberg\u00a0hired several partners\u00a0from Barretto Ferreira e Brancher (BKBG) \u2013 which has now been\u00a0absorbed\u00a0by Azevedo Sette Advogados. The firm now counts 15 partners, representing a 25% increase since it opened.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, another S\u00e3o Paulo firm, Perlman Vidigal Godoy Advogados, announced on 19 October it had hired litigation and arbitration lawyer Ricardo Zamariola Junior, 35. He was formerly name partner at tax, corporate and civil law firm Tranchesi Ortiz e Andrade Advocacia.<\/p>\n<p>Zamariola\u2019s practice is focused on civil litigation in corporate, contractual and family law. He gained experience working on the much-publicised Sean\u00a0Goldman abduction case in the late 2000s, a cross-border custody battle in which Zamariola successfully litigated for a child\u2019s return from Brazil to live with his father in the US.<\/p>\n<p>In combination with its litigation and arbitration practice, Perlman Vidigal Godoy also has corporate, finance and tax practices.
