Mattos Engelberg Advogados<\/strong> in Brazil has recruited associates as partners from competitors\u00a0Madrona Advogados\u00a0and\u00a0Veirano Advogados\u00a0for its tax and compliance divisions.<\/p>\n Tax lawyer Priscila Farisco Rocha Leite<\/strong> joined from\u00a0Madrona Advogados, where she worked since 2015. Her practice includes tax consultancy, wealth planning and taxation of foreign investment. Before Madrona, she worked at Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados.<\/p>\n Tiago Severo Gomes<\/strong> was an associate at\u00a0Veirano Advogados. He has extensive experience in banking, compliance and litigation. He also focuses on money laundering prevention and has represented clients before the financial regulators, including the securities commission and Brazil\u2019s Central Bank.<\/p>\n The hires were announced on 20 March and increase Mattos Engelberg partner count to 25. The firm has expanded rapidly since it was founded in 2016. It\u00a0promoted\u00a0a wealth management lawyer to partner and hired a white-collar crime partner last year.
