Annual Census of Foreign Capital in Brazil
Pursuant to the provisions of Circular 3,795 / 2016 of the Central Bank of Brazil, the reporting period for the Annual Census of Foreign Capital in Brazil (base year 2017) began on July 2, 2018.
The following legal entities are obliged to declare the information required for the Annual Census of Foreign Capitals in Brazil:
I – legal entities with head offices in Brazil, with direct participation (in any amount) of non-residents in their capital stock and with net worth equal to or greater than the equivalent to US$ 100 million, on December 31, 2017;
II – investment funds with non-resident shareholders and with net worth equal to or greater than the equivalent to US$ 100 million, on December 31, 2017, through its officers; and
III – legal entities with head offices in Brazil, with a total outstanding balance of short-term commercial credits (payable up to 360 days) granted by non-residents equal to or greater than the equivalent to US$ 10 million, on December 31, 2017.
Failure to submit the required information or submitting false, incomplete, incorrect or untimely information shall subject those responsible to the penalties of the law.
Finally, we would like to highlight that the reporting period ends at 6:00 pm on August 15, 2018.
