Mattos Engelberg Advogados announces new partners
Mattos Engelberg Advogados is delighted to announce to its clients and friends Paula Lima Hyppolito Oliveira and Paula Beatriz Loureiro Pires as new partners.
Paula Lima is graduated from Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC/SP). She has a post-graduate degree in Economic Criminal Law and European Law from Coimbra University and in Economic Criminal Law from the Law School of Fundação Getulio Vargas.
The new partner is based in São Paulo and works with the partners Conrado Donati Antunes and Paulo Victor Marcondes Buzanelli in the Corporate Criminal Law Practice.
The Corporate Criminal Team has significant experience in national and international issues related to crimes committed in the corporate environment, such as economic crimes, environmental crimes, tax crimes, cartel and public bidding fraud, including international legal cooperation, plea bargaining collaborations, internal investigations and compliance.
Paula Pires is Bachelor of Laws from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), with specializations in Tax Law from Instituto Brasileiro de Estudos Tributários (IBET) and Instituto Paulista de Educação Continuada (IPEC), and with another specialization in Politics and International Relations from Fundação Escola de Sociologia e Política de São Paulo (FESPSP).
The new partner is based in São Paulo, in the Asset Management and Succession Planning Practice, advising families and their members individually, family offices, private clients of financial institutions and people in residence migration. She also works in the Tax area, with the partners Adelmor Gheler, Gabriel Nascimento and Paulo Sigaud, dedicating herself to tax consulting, tax legal audits, tax litigation, tax planning, M&A and corporate transactions.
Mattos Engelberg Advogados has now 23 partners and approximately 150 members.
