Mattos Engelberg Advogados and Favacho Advogados are proud to announce an agreement which the agribusiness area of Favacho Advogados, responsible for more than 70% of the firm’s clients, will migrate to Mattos Engelberg Advogados.
Frederico Favacho becomes a partner of Mattos Engelberg Advogados and brings to the firm members of his current team.
Favacho holds a Degree from Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo (São Francisco – USP), where he also completed a Master’s Degree in Philosophy of Law. He holds an MBA in Agribusiness Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and is a member and arbitrator of several international institutions in the area of agribusiness, international trade and arbitration.
The lawyer was Bunge’s Legal Manager and founded his previous firm in 1994, advising agribusiness companies, cooperatives, trading companies and institutions such as the Brazilian Association of Agribusiness (Abage), National Association of Exporters of Cereals (Anec), National Exporters Association of Cotton (Anea), and Working Group on Sustainable Livestock (GTPS).
The firm advised its clients on agribusiness matters related to contractual, tax, labor, intellectual property, logistics, ports, international trade and arbitration.
Mattos Engelberg Advogados, which has an agribusiness DNA since its foundation, has a full service approaching, covering areas such as corporate, mergers and acquisitions, government relations, antitrust, regulatory, labor, tax, corporate criminal, environmental, civil litigation, among others.
