In March, Mattos Engelberg Advogados laterally hired Priscila Farisco and Tiago Severo as partners in a move which strengthens the firm’s tax and banking practices.
Following the reception of her Bachelor of Laws from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), Priscila Farisco began her career as a tax consultant at KPMG, from where, after three years, she moved to well-known firms such as Felsberg Advogados and Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr. e Quiroga Advogados before finally joining Mattos Engelberg as partner. At her new home, Ms. Farisco will focus on tax consultancy and planning, corporate reorganization, inheritance restructuring and international taxation mandates.
Banking expert Tiago Severo began his career at distinguished firm Pinheiro Neto Advogados and, after eight years, moved to renowned outfit Veirano Advogados where he enjoyed a seven-month stint prior to becoming a partner at Mattos Engelberg. He is currently a Professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and a member of the Brazilian Bar Association’s (OAB) Banking Committee. With regards to academic achievements, it is worth highlighting Mr. Severo holds a Bachelor of Laws from Centro Universitário – IESB as well as an LL.M. in Business Law from FGV.
